![]() ![]() I wake up my laptop again by pressing the power button.After about 10 seconds I double click on the file to see if it downloads and it does, so again I change it to Online Only.I change the file's Smart Sync setting to Online Only using the right mouse click menu item (doing this 2 times to make sure that a V symbol is shown next to Online Only) -> side question: why is there no third label like 'Local + offline' next to 'Local' and 'Online Only' as there are 3 possible situation?. ![]() I add a small PDF (774 kB, as example) to Dropbox via Windows Explorer.My laptop has an active VPN and Dropbox connection.I have set up my second machine the same way and it too is now surfing the web flawlessly express vpn.Using my laptop with Windows 10 Pro v3.815 I noticed a connection problem related to resuming after my laptop went to sleep, using Dropbox v97.4.467 and a VPN (ProtonVPN currently but I tried with NordVPN as well and the behavior is the same). ![]() So even though I just found this today, the results are so clearly good that I am 99% certain it is the solution I was looking for. All websites are faster and even Amazon is flying. It turns out Nord VPN tells you exactly what to do on their site. Setting up a VPN connection in Windows 10 using Windows 10 own network settings. Just today I decided to stop trying to work around and fight Windows and instead use a part of Windows I kept seeing but had never explored. It was not really solving the issue 100% of the time anyway. ![]() I suspected part of the issue is Windows 10 firewall or other Windows settings, so I was actually turning off Windows firewall, which sort of helped but seemed like the wrong thing to be doing. It works with Nord VPN servers but the problems with my connection would still come and go. I tried Open VPN recommended as a solution elsewhere in Unity forums. Amazon would actually load quicker if I connected through Nord's Candian servers. I also found it slowed down other web sites, especially. Hey, I am in USA by the way, I had the same problem with Nord. ![]()
